Two days late and a dollar short...

Whew! What a week...between work and coaching my daughter's softball team in a tournament, I AM POOPED as well as late making this post.

My wikis are all graded and posted to my class's CMS. Now I have to pull it all together for our final report! I don't foresee any problems there...

I cannot wait to see how everyone else's projects turned out!

Checkpoint 2

Checkpoint 2 was Wednesday. I only had 2 active students who didn't make checkpoint 1 and one of those missed checkpoint 2 also. He did, however, manage to post all of his contributions a day late, so he will get some points.

Overall, I'm happy with how the wiki looks. Will there be changes next time I do this? Absolutely...what are they? That is yet to be clearly spelled out!

I'll be grading their wiki contributions this weekend...that should help clarify any upcoming changes to be made in this assignment.

Checkpoint 1

My class had their first checkpoint on the wiki assignment this week. By Wednesday the 15th, each student was to have made one contribution to the wiki study guide for each section covered in class up to that point...a total of 3 contributions per student. 5 students met that goal, one student got 2 posts in by the deadline and 3 have done nothing as of yet.

I went back through the rubric with them today. Fortunately, 2 of the 3 who have not participated were there to hear again how the grade was being determined for this assignment, and, hopefully, they will make up some ground over the weekend.

I left a comment earlier this week about some needed corrections to the wiki and both had been addressed by the class. One correction still needs some work, but I'm encouraged that they are checking it and following through on my suggestions.

The second (and final) checkpoint for the last two sections is Wednesday the 22nd.

The WIKI intro

My class seems pretty interested in how this is all going to work. (I have to admit, I'm excited to see how it's going to go!) They were all actively participating in playing in the class wiki and a few had even posted some items already. The study guide is in progress! :-)

Now I have to do my part...

First update on 516 final project

Well, I'm going into the wiki with my class for the first time today. I mentioned the assignment to them briefly on Wednesday, but today we are going to explore PB wiki as a class.
